V3 Update
Well i'm finally back after a week long hiatus to bring only good news!
The V3 update is now out introducing a load of new things as well as bringing the start of a transition to what the finished game will look like
Additions:
- added health drop
- added ult drop
- added boss health and healthbar
- boss can now be killed
- added hub world to start at
- added several sprites (most temporary)
- added hub boss kill counter
- added recent score counter under boss portal
- removed game over screen
- several other things changed/added/removed
This update will hopefully set the precedent for future updates and show a glimpse of whats to come

The future:
i have many plans for the future however for now I need to work on this games biggest issue, the combat.
This games combat was originally made for ludum 45 but now that I've moved to bigger ideas Its time to make the combat bullet hell friendly and not a frantic chase to defeat the boss before the final stage.
I intend to:
- remove laser pickups and replace them with a power up that can deal bonus damage to bosses
- make a constant fire system so players can focus on dodging
